Applications and Instructions

Following are the steps in applying for and maintaining AES designations.

a. Determine which AES designation(s) is appropriate for you by reviewing the Qualification Criteria of Designations.  Provide requested information below and submit to download appropriate application form.  If desired any two or all three of CEnvA TM, PEnvA TM  and DipAES TM  may be applied for at the same time and conferred concurrently if qualified.

b. The application forms contain detailed information on what to submit.  Submit the completed appropriate application form along with all requirements.  Payment of US$ 80.00 application fee has been waived by AES beginning May 19, 2014.   A Student Member (SEnvA) applicant pays with the application the first annual fee of US$ 50.00. All other applicants (e.g., AEnvA, CEnvA, PEnvA, and DipAES) will pay only once they are notified that their application has been accepted (Please see (d) below). For all applicants, there are two ways to submit your application, by email or by mail.  Submit by email in order to have your application processed faster.

  • By email:  Electronically fill out the downloaded application form (or scan in color PDF format your filled out application form and all diplomas).  If you have Adobe Acrobat, you may be able to save in your computer the filled out application form and be able to email it.  If you have only Adobe Reader, you will not be able to save the filled out application form but will be able to print it.  If the latter is your case, print your filled out form and scan it in color, save in your computer, then email the form to AES.  Email to AES (email address:  info@amerenv.org). For Student Member applicants, after sending application, pay online by selecting the yellow Pay Now button/link below.  All other applicants, please wait for notification from AES before making any payment.

For AEnvA, CEnvA, PEnvA, and DipAES, you will be asked to pay the initial due of US$ 130.00 for those in the United States and US$ 150.00 for those outside the United States, which includes the following: (a) your first year membership fee of US$ 125.00, (b) a wall certificate, (c) scalable stamp in jpeg format (which will be emailed to you) bearing your name, designation and membership registration number, (d) digital art work in jpeg format (which will be emailed to you) for your professional ink stamp that you can email to the rubber stamp maker of your choice, and (e) shipping and handling charges for your wall certificate (US$ 5.00 and US$ 25.00 for those in the United States and outside the United States, respectively).  Initial dues are discounted by $50.00 for each additional designation, which means that the member pays an initial due of $75.00 for each additional designation (i.e., annual fee is US$ 75.00 per year for each additional designation).  The initial due of US$ 75.00 for each additional designation includes the following: (a) your discounted one year membership fee of US$ 75.00, (b) a wall certificate, (c) scalable stamp in jpeg format (which will be emailed to you) bearing your name, designation and membership registration number, and (d) digital art work in jpeg format for your professional ink stamp.  The discounted fee for each additional designation applies whether the additional designation is granted at the same time as the first one or at a later time after the first one has been granted.  Shipping and handling costs apply if the second certificate is mailed separately from the first.

The membership for AEnvA, CEnvA, PEnvA, and DipAES designations are renewed annually.  The one-year fee of US$ 125.00 is due on the anniversary of your application.  The annual renewal fee for each additional designation is US$ 75.00.  The discounted annual membership fee applies only for as long as more than one designations are maintained at the same time.

For the Student Member (SEnvA), the initial fee of US$ 50.00 counts towards his/her initial annual fee of $50.00. The Student Member pays US $50.00 annually during succeeding years during the anniversary of his/her application.

To make a payment online, please click the yellow Pay Now button/link above.  Please see (b) above for other forms of payment.  Paying online will facilitate your application.

For all types of membership, at least three months before the membership renewal is due, the member will be notified.

e. To maintain your designation, it is not mandatory to submit a Continuing Education Credit Report.  However, it is to your advantage to remain current in your field through participation in relevant continuing education or other activities.  Individual members are encouraged to voluntarily submit the Continuing Education Report during membership renewal.
